With a business spanning over nineteen locations in Asia Pacific, we need a strong trade control policy in place to manage conflicts between trade compliance, sanctions and export control regulations, while ensuring risks are properly mitigated. This position will be the main point of contact for our country business teams and the local government bodies.   

  

Based in Shanghai, you will report to the region’s General Counsels, and partner all business and functional units in trade control guidance and support. You will assess risk levels, establish procedures and policies, and deliver trainings to relevant stakeholders.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  

• Proactively align with local country contacts on trade control risk assessment

• Support local business teams on trade control inquiries

• Enhance global trade control program by constantly identifying and mitigating risks

• Conduct training on related trade control topics and align with country teams on local trade control risk assessments

• Propose and maintain procedures to handle identified areas of risks

Your skills and experience

  

Ideally, you should have minimum 8 years of trade control related experience, and are familiar with customs clearance processes. You demonstrate the ability to understand an organisation’s business practices and procedures quickly and effectively, and possess strong communication skills. As you will be dealing with counterparts from all over the world, a good command of English and Mandarin is required.
