JOB SCOPE

The main purpose of the role is to ensure alignment with BCBS 239 principals via the integration of a data quality management framework (DQMF) to the SABRE platform. The framework will ensure that all system interactions take place within the context of defined data ownership with clear SLAs and OLAs between the relevant system. Data lineage from the point of entry into the FM landscape through to the final regulatory relevant reports.

As a BA, you’ll be responsible for delivering the DQMF framework for SABRE and achieving full compliance with BCBS 239. Working with the Singapore lead you will

?            Work with key business stake holders to keep the list of Critical Reports maintained as the SABRE platform continues to expand to cover the full scope of both the Financial Markets business as well as the wider Commercial Balance Sheet.

?            Negotiate SLAs/OLAs between the various system/component owners where gaps are identified or remediating such agreement when not up to the expected standard

?            Work closely with developers to understand the dataflows between components of SABRE; the transformations applied, and the data quality controls implemented

?            Translate the dataflows to standardised CDO (Chief Data Officer) compliant documentation

?            Partner with the central FM data quality team to understand the standards applied and best practice across the FM landscape

 Key Attributes

?            A detailed orientated analyst able to quickly assess the current system landscape and understand the relationships between the multiple tiers and component of the system

?            Ability to produce high quality comprehensive documentation of design and dataflows, reverse engineering the existing system where necessary

?            Experience working in an agile development environment

?            Self-starter who can drive/facilitate documentation effort

?            Take ownership and responsibility for the full DQMF documentation lifecycle

?            A team player, capable of engaging with other teams in Technology

?            Prior experience in the end-to-end design, development and support of financial markets systems

Qualification & Skills

Technical skills:

?            5+ years hands on BA experience

 

Functional skills:

?            A strong understanding of the data flows within an Investment Banking/Financial Markets Trading environment

?            Understanding of trade capture and market data in such an environment

?            Risk methodology knowledge and/or quantitative finance understanding, experience working with analytics libraries

?            Experience of data management concepts with a focus on metadata management

Soft skills:

?            Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

?            Outstanding problem-solving skills

?            Proactive, self-starter, autonomous

?            Good team spirit

?            Ability to work under pressure with multiple assignments

General:

?            Prior experience as a developer and an ability to ‘read’ code would be beneficial

?            Strong architectural awareness and an ability to understand a system front to back.

?            Familiarity and confidence working in an agile development environment.

?            Stakeholder skills to participate in SLAs/OLA discussions between components of a live/existing system

?            Someone who can drive / facilitate the requirements and development effort with the business.
