Key Responsibilities:
? Manage the resolution of escalated production issues, ensuring the issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
? Ensure continual support of SHL client-facing systems 24/7/365 as a member of the SHL Production Support Global ROTA
? Interface with SHL clients as a representative of SHL to help resolve technical issues and support Commercial teams
? Identify and document the root causes of technical issues in production and the management of the root cause resolution process
? Create client-facing Root Cause Analysis documentation
? Provide detailed analysis and documentation of production issues and assist Development and DevOps teams in reproducing and identifying the root cause of issues
? Identify and document product improvements and interact with project teams to facilitate improvements via the SDLC process.
Required Skills & Experience:
? Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information systems, or Engineering
? Demonstrated experience providing hands on Production Support for web-based applications
? In-depth experience using SQL to develop, test, and troubleshoot complex DB scripts. Utilize SQL to find issue patterns, impact, and causes
? Demonstrated use of Application Performance Monitoring tools to create alerts, identify resource bottlenecks, and track issues through logging or other application events
? Broad expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
? Strong and demonstrated problem solving and debugging ability
? Excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to explain complex technical design/issues to users at all skill and experience levels
? Familiarity with multi-tiered web application architectures
Desired Skills & Experience:
? Experience providing production support for cloud-based applications, with a specific focus on AWS.
? Amazon Cloud Practitioner certification
? Experience with Datadog and Idera application performance monitoring tools
? Experience using Jira for issue and project tracking
