Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, prototype and test high performance consumer electronics and display products working with product development team and by managing 3rd Party Engineering Services.  Conducts design reviews with internal teams and external development teams.
• Find additional 3rd Party Engineering Services suppliers to support product development process.
• Interact with engineers from various disciplines in the use and application of technologies.
• Independently problem solves, provides technical paths and offers process improvement recommendations.  Document procedures as needed.
• Providing up-to-date, accurate information to colleagues and management as a subject matter expert on display technology.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Master degree in Optics, Material sciences, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering AND a 5 years relevant experience

Requirements:

Engineering background and experience:

• Working in a Global company in electronics or displays product design and development in a cross functional development environment including fast prototype
• Completed multiple product development cycles
• Experience with Systems Integration, architecture, test and quality methodology. Displays engineering experience preferred
• Experience in working with 3rd Party Engineering Services suppliers and other technology providers
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to non-experts.  Good Presentation skills and familiar with Microsoft Office/PowerPoint.
• 30% Travel
