Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate data analysis and visualization report to understand risk performance of portfolio from different dimensions, provide innovative data insights to optimize current underwriting decision making process;

2. Identify anomalies in underwriting process from regular monitor, proactively investigate the root cause and provide explanation & corrective actions;

3. Design and conduct quality assurance on implementation of underwriting strategies change in risk decision system;

4. Support maintenance of analytical data-marts to be used by whole team for analyses and reporting purpose on Hadoop platform;

5. Closely cooperate with other team members, risk teams and departments, to ensure team related tasks and pilots progress smoothly;

6. Guide and develop junior analysts within the team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or other quantitative discipline;
2. Minimum 2 year expertise experience in data analytical relevant position;
3. Experience in financial risk management or “oversea experience” is preferred.
4. Expertise practice in SQL (or other DB) programming is a must;
5. Advanced MS Excel skills and other Office Software is a must;
6. Knowledge in following areas are preferred:
(1). Credit risk management;
(2). Model development with machine learning method;
(3). Data-mining and statistical tools (SAS/SPSS/Matlab/R etc.);
(4). Data visualization tools (SAS VA/Tableau/PowerBI etc.);
(5). Programming language (Python/R/Java/C++).
7. Skills and Competencies:
(1). Native Chinese, fluent in English (oral and written);
(2). Passion for data analysis, detail oriented, sensitive with data;
(3). Open-minded, self-driven, fast learning and independent problem solving;
(4). Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
(5). Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment with execution quality ensured.
