We, WND & Cold Chain product team of Maersk IT, are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop IT solution that support the business goal of aggressively growing and pursing emerging opportunities.

The Software Engineer will be responsible to develop the one of our core solution Label & Scan system that is widely used within Maersk contract logistics and SCM (supply chain management) businesses, including both existing system change/enhancement and new system development. He or she will collaborate with business partners to understand the requirements, and collaborate with architect to deliver the development in compliance with the architectural principals.  

(*Label and Scan is a (carton/item) scan solution by using a variety of technologies, e.g. RF scan, RFID, mobile and so on. It’s a solution widely used in Maersk’s warehouses)

• Convert functional and technical requirements into system design.
• Perform system development, enhancement and testing.
• Provide support on UAT, implementation and post-implementation.
• Work closely with UI/UX design team to deliver best user experience.

• Prove out new technologies through proof of concept work.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience with Java technologies, such as Rest Web Service, framework (e.g. Spring), middleware (e.g. WebLogic, WebSphere) etc.
• or Microsoft technologies)
• In-depth knowledge of mobile technologies and experience in developing mobile solution.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preferred:

• Deep knowledge and experience with logistics industry
• Good knowledge & experience with C, C++, Linux, and imbedded system development.
