The incumbent must have extensive knowledge of materials and experience in the implementation of major international projects. The position requires communication skills, a sense of respect for others and the ability to work within a multicultural group.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Works in close collaboration with the construction group, materials management group and with the staff of the contractors involved;

2. Reviews the availability of materials according to the specific requirements of the construction work packages (CWP) for which the incumbent is responsible;

3. Communicates with Project Team construction supervisors regarding the availability of equipment and materials;

4. Coordinates timely delivery of equipment and materials to contractor personnel;

5. Responsible for checking materials during delivery for the presence of damage or anomalies;

6. Responsible for liaising between the contractor and Project Team warehouse personnel during the delivery of materials;

7. Reviews reception reports for materials for which the incumbent is responsible;

8. Other duties and responsibilities as specified by the materials manager.

Job requirements, education and skills required

· At least 5 years’ experience with project materials and materials management systems on major projects.

· Fluent English skills (reading, writing and speaking)

· General knowledge of equipment and materials (structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation).
