GENERAL SUMMARY

This individual will work under general supervision and within established practices, to do hardware platform and system thermal analysis, simulation, and validation, and deliver cooling solutions for storage systems and related products in the Shanghai Hardware Engineering organization.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide cost effective cooling solutions to meet reliability and performance target of large data storage systems and electronic cabinets

- Conduct cooling design, simulation, analysis and test criteria set up

- Verify cooling performance by temperature and airflow measurement

- Set up adaptive cooling strategy to achieve acoustic and power saving goal

- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions, under appropriate level of direction.

SKILLS

- Solid knowledge background: familiar with electronic device cooling design; experience in fan selection and heatsink design;

- Good understanding of thermal behavior of electronic components and device

- Be able to use Flotherm to do simulation;

- Capable of setting up hardware platform or system to measure the temperature airflow;

- Experience on issue analysis, debugging and identifying solutions

- Team player, be able to work with cross-function team together effectively and efficienlty  

- Effective communication skills, including good command of the English language in spoken and written form, are a key requirement for the position.

- Good Trouble shooting capability and analytical ability.

- Fast learner.

Education Required: BS. ME or equivalent, MS. ME preferred

Experience Required: 1-3 Years
