The position develops international supplier relationships with the objective of driving cost reduction and service improvement. Reporting into the Director of Supply Chain Operations with dotted line responsibility to the Director of Manufacturing for Eastern Hemisphere, this position will be heavily focused on Asian markets.

• Participate on cross functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and pre qualify suppliers for targeted components

• Work with manufacturing, Engineering, QA, and regional procurement teams to ensure successful delivery in compliance with Downhole requirements

•  Overall responsibility for supplier selection, procurement and on time delivery directly related to assigned products

• Develop and maintain long term supplier relationships

• Prepare and issue RFP (request for proposal), analyze bids, and negotiate supplier contracts

• Negotiate INCO terms with freight forwarder to achieve lowest total landed cost

• Communicate information on trends in emerging global markets for key commodities

• Identify, measure, and consolidate cost savings and supplier performance metrics and roll up for reporting to senior management

• Helps QA and Engineering provide process and technical guidance to our suppliers.

要求：

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or similar field. Some post graduate or professional training/certifications

• Experience: 3 – 5 years combined experience and education in Procurement or Supply Chain Management in a global, multi site environment; Experience with machining, steel suppliers, and oil field industry desirable

• Knowledge: Knowledge of culture and business practices in the Far East

Competencies:  Ability to read and translate drawings, material specifications, purchasing documents , and other information necessary to conduct business in Asia
