????Working under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude, provides PCB layout expertise by developing approaches to solutions for printed circuit design, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Understands company goals, practices and design guidelines and applies them when resolving a variety of layout issues. Assignments may include logic and footprint library development, leading new PCB layout projects as well as upgrades to existing designs and supporting a project with other team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform printed circuit board layout from a schematic netlist and engineering guideline under limited guidance

- Develop PCB footprints and schematic symbols to be used in new designs

- Review Layout and Library symbols per company design checklist

- Collaborates across all engineering disciplines (Hardware, Manufacturing, Power, SI, Mechanical) to ensure product requirements are being implemented to meet program goals

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Identifies and champions design changes/suggestions/process that will improve quality, reliability and improve time-to-market design cycle

- Communicates effectively to the global Xfunctional engineering team as necessary through a variety of mediums. 

- Trains and mentors less experienced team members in working PCB layout issues through to resolution

- Performs other PCB design duties as assigned

Skills:

- Experience on directly related to PCB design

- Proficient with the Cadence Allegro tool

- Experience in developing eCAD library symbols will be a plus

- Experience with the Allegro 16.6 or greater tool environment will be a plus

- Experience in layout multi layers printed circuit board with backdrill, via_in_pad, laser vias and high speed differential using Cadence/Allegro Constraint Manager

- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously

- Knowledge of Downstream/CAM350 and Cadence Concept HDL schematic tool is preferred

- PCB fabrication process knowledge is a plus

- Sense of urgency. 

- Communication skills. 

- Knowledge of Python and/or Perl is a plus to support EDA scripts.

- Proficient written and oral English skill

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor above Degree in engineering or EE. Intern or educational project experience on PCB layout design or CAD development will be a strong plus to ideal candidate.????
