Responsibilities:
1. Administrative (1)Planning, scheduling and coordinating engineering projects
(2)Contacts customers and suppliers, coordinates and resolves relevant issues
(3)Stays on top of his (her) projects and assures that committed dates will be met
2. Technical
(1)New product design and development and product improvement
(2)Design analysis and evaluation of electrical circuits. Writes product and test software.
(3)Reviews Customer’s specifications and requirements and applies them in the designs and procurement documentation as required.
(4)Handles engineering projects from both the administrative and technical sides.
(5)Responsible for the planning and scheduling of the project and the associated budgets.
(6)Prepares and runs design review meetings.
(7)Supports Operations and Quality on manufacturing, Customer and Supplier issues.
(8)Reviews, checks and critiques other designs.
(9)Prepares technical and cost proposals and makes technical presentations of new designs to Customers
(10)Prepares design verification and process validation test plans and is
(11) Responsible for conducting these tests.
3. Others
(1)Ensures good housekeeping, cleanliness, order and safety in his/her area
(2)Supports the Company’s 6S, and lean initiatives.
(3)Participates in Company teams to resolve issues and make improvements as well as in Six sigma projects as requested.
Qualifications:
1.Administrative
(1)Leadership skills – direction delegation.
(2)Basic project management skills
(3)Good planner and organizer
(4)Basic knowledge and use of personal computers and work processing including word, excel power point and Microsoft project.
(5)Good written and verbal communication skills
(6)Team player
(7)High motivation, drive and discipline
2.Technical
(1)Experience in electrical hardware and software design and good knowledge of electrical and electromechanical materials and components
(2)Good knowledge of PC board design and development
(3)Knowledge of transducers and sensors
(4)Skilled in software development tools and languages such as C++, pascal, visual basic, etc.
(5)Familiar with Data Acquisition equipment.
(6)Strong analytical and hands on skills,
(7)Good troubleshooter and problem solver.
(8)Experience and formal training in lean manufacturing and 6 sigma disciplines
(9)Performs FMEA and puts together control plans.
3. Experience
(1) 5 years minimum experience in electrical hardware and software design
(2) 2 years minimum in project management
