? Role Summary:
An individual contributor role responsible to execute/ roll out S&OP initiatives within the region, consolidating critical information for demand and supply activities within key market segments of industrial, electric mobility and automotive. Partners with operations and supply chain/ distribution members in China to analyze trends, identify continuous improvement opportunities for consistency, standardization forecasting accuracy to achieve inventory targets (DSI days) and E&O reduction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage demand forecasting activities/ initiatives in the region, support customer collaboration/VMI activities by working closely with the supply chain and commercial teams on key forecast inputs
2. Provide analytical support for supply chain, operations and commercial teams where required; key person to consolidate monthly key metrics for forward going analysis and decision making
3. Main liaison person to ensure alignment among commercial, operations and finance team to support customer demands
4. Manage demand planning and S&OP analytical functions to support forecast inputs and collaboration opportunities/ activities
5. Validate and review demand and supply assumptions with commercial and operation teams as part of the S&OP process; an active member of regular review meetings on behalf of China, reporting/ reviewing key action items during these meetings
6. Ensure forecast consensus as part of our continuous improvement effort, roll-out of standardized corporate policies in relation to S&OP initiatives
Personnel Specification
? At least a degree (in any discipline), with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling, with the last 1 year in a supervisory/ managerial/ regional role
? Working knowledge of forecasting techniques, advanced level MS Excel with the ability to navigate through big spreadsheets with complex formula
? A good team player capable of completing assigned tasks within strict timelines; demonstrates a sense of urgency
? Experienced in a multi-cultural global environment, able to navigate through matrix structures to get things done effectively and efficiently
