Responsibilities:

1. Administrative

(1)Planning, scheduling and coordinating his/her projects and other tasks

(2)Organize and manage product research and other design projects

(3)Focus and track individual project budgets and timing

2. Technical

(1)Generate and manage 3D drawing revision and release

(2)Work/communicate closely with other global team to ensure rapid development

(3)Reviews customer’s specifications and requirements and applies them in the designs and procurement documentation as required.

(4)Conduct FEA and other structural analysis using industry standard methods

(5)Manage prototype hardware procurement, tracking, and quality

(6)Prepares design studies to verify optimal design solutions and logs results

(7)Update/manage DFMEA during development phase

3. Others

(1)Ensures good housekeeping, cleanliness, order and safety in his/her area

(2)Supports company initiatives (example: 6S, lean initiatives, etc.)

Qualifications:

1. Administrative

(1)Excellent project management skills (highly organized)

(2)Must be a team player with high motivation, drive, and discipline

(3)Basic computer skills including Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project

(4)Good written and verbal communication skills (Mandarin/English)

(5)Comfortable & effective interacting with global team (i.e. different cultures)

2. Technical

(1) Proven history of new product development (concept- production)

(2)Experience in mechanical/electromechanical design and good knowledge of structural material options (metal/plastics)

(3)Experience in pressure vessel and/or propellant development (airbag and/or inflator experience highly desirable)

(4)Experience in Solidworks or other 3-D software

(5)Experienced in common design and drafting practices including GD&T

(6)Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM tools

(7)Experience and basic training in lean design & manufacturing as well as 6 sigma disciplines.

3. Experience

3 years minimum experience in engineering (mechanical preferred)
