Job Description
Title: QA Manager
Reporting to: VP Manufacturing
Major Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance (QA) Manager aims to ensure that the product or service delivered by PBN is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations, and the position needs to coordinate the activities required to meet PBN and other relevant international and domestic quality standards;
2. QA Manager also monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system and produces data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators;
3. QA Manager will need to liaise with other managers and staff throughout the PBN business domains to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the QA manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality;
4. The QA manager needs to maintain quality demands adaptation to customer expectations, employ a variety of measures to place quality at the heart of PBN. These include management systems such as ISO 9000, philosophies such as Total Quality Management, and methodologies such as Continuous Improvement and PDCA (Plan, Develop, Check and Act) etc.
Detailed Descriptions:
1. Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the PBN;
2. Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved;
3. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements;
4. Working with SCM (supply chain management) and purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
5. Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation;
6. Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply;
7. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with engineering and operating staff;
8. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
9. Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
10. Collating and analysing performance data and charts against defined parameters;
11. Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product engineering change and modifications are investigated if necessary;
12. Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks;
13. Writing technical and management systems reports;
14. Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures;
15. Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues;
16. Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate and follow quality methods and work instructions (WI)
17. Supervise and helping in failure analysis and process analysis to concern people;
18. Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications;
19. Establishing standards of service for customers or clients and manage customer complains;
20. Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards;
21. Preparing clear explanatory documents such as customers' charters;
22. Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Knowledge & Skill requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science etc;
2. More than 5 years QA management experience in manufacture company;
3. ERP,ISO9001, SPC, Process Design, QC tools;
4. Experiences in internal system auditing, external compliances, and project management;
5. Exceptional skills in problem solving;
6. Exceptional consulting and communication skills, ability to advise and influence others over complex issues;
7. Experience in products testing and automation;
8. Keen awareness of customer perceptions and competitors offerings;
9. Experiences in researching technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions;
10. Knowledge and hands-on experiences in data mining and analysis;
11. Fluency in English and Mandarin.
