Role Summary/Purpose

The Operations Manager role is a technical role, which requires a commercial mindset. This broad and dynamic role will have overall responsibility for all aspects of resource scheduling for staff and equipment. Additionally, the person will take responsibility for managing local inventory and logistics working directly with 3rd Parties to ensure timely execution in region.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensuring appropriate resources are available and allocated to support regional workload. • Working with the Global team to ensure optimum utilization of Regional and Global resources. • Provide Inspection Equipment to all PII’s operational regions on time and within budget to the highest engineering standards. • Part of the Operations team ensuring that the equipment reliability and performance is consistently high. Aiming to continually raise the PII first run success rate to Industry leading standards. • Maintain the highest level of EHS compliance throughout the region. • Operate within the ethos of ISO 9000:2000 for demonstrable competence and continuous improvement • Create open and regular communication channels with colleagues working in the operational regions of PII. • Manage and develop a highly skilled cohesive and flexible team • Apply the process and tools of six sigma to make business cases and take decisions based on data • Work with regional lease partners to maximize use of local lease resources and tools to minimize costs • Drive ILI field crew in confirming to API 1163 Certification • Ensure timely input to analysis of all Field crew reports. Run reports and other critical data to ensure cycle time is optimized. • Liase directly with customers, 3rd Parties and Global PII team to ensure on time running of Inspection systems as per client demands. • Drive regional VCP and cycle time reduction. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Work planning including workload forecasting, resource planning with regional planner, scheduling of deliverables etc relating to engineering and management of process systems • Day-to-day production management of manpower resources. • Management of departmental budget • Ensure all active equipment is in date for all calibration and regulatory certification • Responsible for staff management, performance targeting and measurement, grievances and disciplines as well as development of basic infrastructure & staff training • Develop production programs and processes that maximize the utilization of manpower and assets. • Improve efficiency and drive cost effectiveness. • Ensuring personnel are trained in line with PII technical and EHS standards Key Outputs: • Scheduling of resources and assets to meet operational requirements whilst minimizing costs. • Allocation of equipment at the module level ensuring that the appropriate equipment is serviceable and available at the required date • Achievement of project deadlines within budget • Identification of risks and managing those in conjunction with the relevant Project Manager. • Continuous improvement of service quality, as measured by customer satisfaction responses and first time run successes. • I&I, DAFW near miss reports at or better than targeted levels. • Management of local inventory and setting min/max levels for forecast run volume. • Arranging local logistics to support operations with support/with cooperation from PI Global Logistics team • Maximisation of regional run volume with optimum resources at low cost

Qualifications/Requirements

• Financially & commercially astute. • Engineering qualification or equivalent • Experience in a similar role advantageous, with well-developed team management skills • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization, and able to enthuse and influence others • Capable of, and experienced in, building a focussed, truly multi-functional team. • A dynamic individual with energy and the drive to succeed • A champion of customer care, committed to maintaining the highest standards of service quality in all aspects of equipment servicing. • Results orientated, self driven individual. • Professional & pragmatic operating style • Six Sigma Green Belt (optional) Languages • Chinese • English
