1. Design and specify mechanical parts for lighting products, create innovative and robust mechanical designs according to the specified market requirements.
2. Compare and choose appropriate metal and plastic materials for various applications, with knowledge of flammability, H.D.T., melt flow index and hardness etc.
3. Qualify mechanical parts and maintain mechanical parts database;
4. Align with global site and update metal material policy in engineering portal (including monitor global site metal component qualification).

5.       Support to define mechanical technology/cost roadmap and new supply base

1. Define tolerance properly, and design geometry logically to ensure flexibility and manufacturability.

7.       Translate the mechanical parts CTQs to supplier side. Ensure good parts manufacturability and product assembly.

1. Simulation knowledge and experience in mechanical analysis and mold flow.
2. Evaluate thermal and mechanical property of products under extreme operational environments.
3. Communicate effectively with suppliers and overseas resource to improve efficiency, reduce cost and ensure project schedule.
4. Design and support experiment for product qualification, respond swiftly to identify the root cause and come up with solution.
5. Put forward specific painting, printing or plating specification after sufficient discussion.
6. Make mockup with rapid prototyping technique, and evaluate design proposal as early as possible.
7. Take full ownership and drive on mechanical aspects (marketing requirements, design, quality, validation, supply, process etc.).
8. Support MOT activities. Cost reduction action for the projects and support mechanical parts purchasing.
9. Track and introduce new materials and technologies to reduce products’ total cost.
10. Label & Packing design.

任职要求：

• Masters or above, majored in mechanical or relevant area
• 5 + yrs. Mechanical Design experience; Lighting industry is plus.
• 3+ years experiences on thermo & optical design
• Strong mechanical/thermos/optical design capabilities on simulation, CAD modeling, structure design, thermos analysis, etc

• Experience in interfacing with product/system architect, hardware.
• Experience on global product development is a plus

·         Fluent in English speaking, and good documentation capabilities
