We are looking for technical writers and translator for our dynamic global team in Technology & Standards Process Engineering team for renewable energy in Wind Industry. This role requires an excellent communication skill in English and Chinese with knowledge of manufacturing as an advantage. Furthermore, we expect that the candidate has minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role.

  

 

  

The Technical Writer in this role will be part of the global team cooperating closely with highly skilled engineers experienced in developing manufacturing facility and solutions for the Wind Industry.

  

 

  

As this role is part of the global function of Offshore OPS TES China Office, it will require a global mind-set and great ability to work with multicultural teams with flexibility in traveling where required.

Job Responsibility

  

Primary responsibilities for this role are:

  

• Design, create and update technical documentation in English and Chinese, such as work instructions, administrator guides, user guides, installation guides and components reference guides.

• Creating text and graphic information in Doc Book XML format and generating PDF and HTML documentation deliverables           

• Work extensively with engineering on the product and gather required information from available sources to understand the technical details and functionality to be documented

• Provide clear and concise descriptions of products, features, updates, processes and procedure

• Write technical information for both internal and external audience in a timely manner  

• Adjust, update & translate documentations as required.                         

• Lead coordination activities with engineers and relevant stakeholders to review the technical documentation and confirm relevant approvals.

• Manage ECO/ECN issuing and approval processes

• Transfer documentation to internal and/or external stakeholders

• Cooperate in close partnership with colleagues located in different regions and continents

• Plan schedule for developing the documentation, track the progresses and document a tracking list of the documentation produced

  

Qualification Required

  

  

• BA/MA degree in technical writing, English, or a technical major

• At least 2 year's work experience related

• Excellent English writing skills and clear communication ability both in English and Chinese

• Familiar with authoring and editing tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, screen capture and cast.

• Able to work in a fast pace environment solely or as part of a team

• Structured, autonomous, resourceful, and quick in learning
• Independent, self-disciplined, and willing to work within tight guideline
• Experience in writing for IT fields, in particularly data integration, data quality and/or master data management fields, a strong plus

• HTML/XML experience, a strong plus; Familiar with Doc Book XML, a strong plus; Familiar with any XML editor, a plus

• Available for national and international business trips between 1 to 3 months

• Experience with Trados, Teamcenter and SAP is an advantage
