Caldera is a digital printing software company, with headquarters in Strasbourg, France (www.caldera.com) . It is owned by Dover Corporation in the USA, and is part of the Dover Digital Printing (DDP) division, whose international brands include MS printing solutions, Kiian Group, J-Tech Sawgrass International and Caldera Software.

  

The location for this position would ideally be in Shenzen, but other areas will be considered depending on the capabilities of the candidate. The selected candidate will be employed by Dover Corporation, Shanghai but will work remotely from a home office. The role requires working closely with Caldera’s Asia sales and service team based in Shanghai, and taking direction from management in Strasbourg, France.

  

Caldera has more than 25 years of experience of developing, marketing and supporting high quality digital printing software for the industry, with a commitment to increasing productivity, cost efficiency and color output. Caldera’s unique capabilities and solutions around image processing, color management and workflow are greatly valued in global textile and graphics markets.

  

The technical sales engineer will have a dual set of responsibilities, consisting of sales and technical support.

  

Essential job functions include:

  • Mainly to manage and develop OEM accounts, and channel partners in China. There may be some support activity needed outside China.
  • Interact with OEMs for any issues concerning technical support.
  • Forecast accurately annual, quarterly and monthly revenue from China
  • Manage leads, customers, and partner lists and update our Salesforce CRM with accurate data daily
  • Identify new market segments, opportunities to develop business.
  • Comply with Caldera pricing policies, discount procedures, and optimize product profitability.
  • Maintain timely communications with supervisor and/or management – including weekly reports - on all events in the market place that could affect the company, including competitive issues, product quality, and/or service issues.
  • Train and mentor distribution/accounts in the utilization and continual access of Caldera technology tools and systems.
  • Promote and execute marketing plans, sales tools, new products to corresponding channels and/or users.
  • Conduct product training in the field as necessary and ensure that customers, distributors, etc receive product training at shows, meetings, etc as needed.

Uses technical/analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Provides timely feedback and update on the product quality, performance to the company for any improvements required.

Education and/or Experience:

  

Requires skills and abilities consistent with a 4-year college degree in Business, Management or a related field, or commensurate experience. Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably in the industry from the same market.

  

Communication Skills: Ability to make effective sales presentations, Negotiation skills & convince customers on the product features, benefits. Should have sound knowledge on the market, product to effectively fight competition and win orders in our favor.

  

Language Skills: Must be fluent in local (Country) and fluent in English.

  

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Linux system knowledge and Mac OSX Platform.

  

Travel: Must be willing to travel as necessary - including both domestic and international travel.
