Job Description

This Technical Sales role within the Litho organization opens up to grow business in China. This position will report to the Sales Leader in Shanghai. In this fast pacing and highly visible role, the candidate will work on top tier China customers, as well as interface with DuPont global teams, including R&D, Product Quality Engineering (PQE), Manufacturing Operations, Engineering Science and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility of this role is to provide Litho-specific technical and sales service to assigned customers in China.

Technical service responsibilities include:

Own key projects and resolve complaints and requests from assigned customer(s). Activities include key project management, data acquisition and analysis, and new product solution development in collaboration with Global R&D, Marketing, Engineering Science, Manufacturing, Product Quality Engineering (PQE) as needed. Ensure key performance metrics (process window, speed, quality etc.) are met for R&D and commercial projects. Rapidly complete customer requests and resolve complaints, rapidly identify root causes and provide prevention plans in time.

Sales service responsibilities include:

The strategic aspect of the job is to manage the sales process of assigned customers. The Technical Sales needs to have excellent communication skills and the ability to identify needs, develop solutions, deliver and capture value. This requires the Technical Sales to have a deep understanding of customer needs and processes, as well as DuPont’s Litho product and service offerings. The Technical Sales is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships at all levels of assigned customers. The ability to combine market understanding, commercial skills, and technical knowledge/ resources to define and meet objectives that benefit customers and Dupont is critical.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or material science or related field. Master’s Degree is a plus
• 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience in Litho R&D or process engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with design of experiments.
• Ability to make good engineering judgments independently is required.
• Demonstrated communication skills toward external customers and to high level leaders.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to travel >30%

Preferred Requirements:

• Specific application knowledge of Litho products.
• Deep understanding of how Litho products are manufactured.
• Hands on experience in chemical material handling, analysis and characterization.
• Six Sigma (green/black belt) project management.

The Dow Chemical Company and DuPont have announced their intent to combine in an all-stock merger of equals. The merger is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2017 and the new company will be named DowDuPont. Within 18-24 months of the merger, DowDuPont intends to spinoff entities resulting in three separate and independent publicly traded companies, subject to regulatory and board approval. At the time of the spin, employees will be moved to one of the three companies.
