Job Purpose

Lead cross franchise capability and skill training for Field Medical Associates.

Drive the execution of functional Field Medical strategic plans in collaboration with Global Medical Excellence group and China Medical Franchises.

Major Activities

· Collaborating with Medical Affairs leadership team to identify focused capability areas for achieving our objectives, building and executing corresponding training plan. This will also include identifying facilitators for the training and collaborating with them to train the trainers, as well as leading some of required core medical training.

· Responsible for establishing and maintaining MSL & MSL manager role based specific training curriculum and certification processes. This will include leveraging the global and country resources, understanding business need to tailor the program.

· Develop the annual functional plan of field medical excellence that aligned with Field Medical activities and ensure operational excellence and consistency in execution across franchise.

· Collaborate with Global and external Field Medical Excellence to ensure adoption and execution of global initiatives.

· Drive consistency in execution of scientific engagement, medical experts’ management, insight gathering. This will include establishing activities of internal review, best practices sharing, cross-functional collaboration & field talent development planning.

· Develop and align with standardized KPIs for field medical team and ensure tracking and improving.

· Oversee and establish standardized system (E-PET/E-approval) to increase the efficiency and productivity of field medical team for better fulfilling current and future needs. Consolidate China MSL activities to Global FME metrics.

· Ensure the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to drive learning, training and communication.

· Ensure a timely and effective communication to all field medical associates through both top down and bottom up processes.

· Compliance and quality: Ensure and be responsible for compliance and quality of field Medical activities according to healthcare authority guidelines, code of industry, local regulations in China policies and local/Global safety responsibilities.

Key Performance Indicators

In compliance with annual objective setting. Focus on:

1. Formulate annual Field Medical Excellence strategy plan and execute training programs in a timely manner 2. Provide functional leadership and continually drive the excellence of Field Medical team. 3. Ensure global-local collaboration and recognition. 4. Ability to maximize the value of field medical team including designing, tracking, reviewing, coaching and reporting.

Job Dimensions

Number of associates: 0 direct report – multiple matrix relations within allocated customer group. Impact on the organization: Key to lead and drive field medical activity effectiveness.

Ideal Background

Education (minimum/desirable): Master Degree Languages: Minimum: Fluent English (oral and written) Minimum: Local language (oral and written) Experience/Professional requirement: · At least 3 years of working experiences in medical affairs function at Multinational pharmaceuticals. MSL experience is mandatory. · Proven ability to lead and coach medical personnel at skill and knowledge levels. · Systemic thinking with strong time management skills, as well as prioritization skills. · Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural/functional environment. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with presentation experience. · Experiences on drive and implantation organization change. · Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
