As a Supplier Quality and Development Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division and Turbocharging Business Units (BU) based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Industrial Automation (IA) division delivers integrated solutions for control, plant optimization, and industry-specific application knowledge and services to help process industry customers worldwide to meet their critical business needs in the areas of operational profitability, capital productivity, risk management and global responsibility. These industries include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals, cement, minerals, marine and turbocharging.

You will lead a team of procurement and logistics specialists within the {Low and Medium Speed Products PG/ Turbocharging LBU/ Industrial Automation division}, in {Shanghai state/China country/NAS region}. Reporting to the {Supply Quality Manager}, you will solve supplier-related quality, service and delivery issues, drive continual improvement and develop supplier and customer satisfaction with purchased products and services. Refine and develop local supplier related procedures and practices.

？ Supplier Qualification: Ensure the supplier qualification process is fully understood and utilized and ensures the supply bases are, and remain, fully qualified and compliant.
？ Supplier Development: By Lean6Sigma and risk-based methodologies, identify needed improvements of supplier base capabilities and performance to ensure conformance with customer and ABB requirements and the implementation of category strategy both on short and long term. Establish development plan for identified areas based on the assessments /supplier data and carry out the development plan with necessary resources from supplier and ABB. Perform risk mitigation activities on request from the organization, coach and lead team members involved in the development activities.
？ Supplier Performance Evaluation/Monitoring: Develop and support targeted suppliers to achieve ongoing conformity with ABB requirement and continuous improvement in quality, e.g. reduction of ppm and cost of poor quality or increase of sustainability, service/on-time delivery performance. Monitor and report supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development plan.
？ Process and System Development & Utilization: Define and develop & optimize with local unit counterpart (Sourcing, Procurement, Quality, Incoming Inspection, Technology) local procedure and practice to improve the process and the efficiency.
？ Complete defined Quality and On-time delivery improvement projects as required.
？ The role requires close cooperation with local responsible TSEs, Local Category Managers (LCM), Incoming Inspection, Technology and Quality and BU related functions.

？ A University Degree or above with good knowledge of Mechanical Technical background.
？ 5 years or above in Logistics / Planning / Operation Excellence, green belt certificate is an added advantage.
？ Familiar with Quality Management System.
？ Strong systematic thinking and problem-solving skill.
？ Excellent communication & analytical skills to deal with suppliers and internal functions.
？ Strong leadership, excellent team work and team spirit, able and willing for a good collaboration with different functions.
？ Willing to work under high press.
？ Fluent in oral and written English and Chinese.
