Position: Sound and vibration engineerReports to: AAV manager (China) - Aerodynamics, Acoustics and Vibration
RESPONSIBILITIESDiverse sound/vibration test methodology and data analysis supporting new product development, troubleshooting and component/system qualification.Modeling and analysis to resolve noise and vibration issues. Proficiency with FEA modeling tools is required. The ability to work with SEA and BEM modeling tools is desirable but not required.Develop new S&V related tools and measurement/modeling techniques for specific application to air conditioning products.
KEY COMPETENCIESSkilled in S&V test techniques, use of S&V instrumentation and related modeling tools: Proficiency with FEA (ANSYS preferred) is required. Familiarity with SEA and BEM modeling tools desirable but not required.Good PC skills. Familiar with MATALB.Good communication and presentation skillGood command of English
REQUIREMENTS Education: Master or PhD degree in Engineering with emphasis in acoustics or mechanical area.
Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sound and vibration testing and modeling required at a Masters level. No experience required at PhD level. Graduate assistant work may be counted if applicable.
Knowledge/Skill: Proficient in use of vibration and noise instrument (Spectrum analyzers, S&V measurement transducers and shaker systems).Knowledge and experience in acoustics and vibration theory. Practical experience in design, drafting and simulation using FEA software packages like ANSYS. Proficiency with tools such as SEA and BEM is desirable.Personality: Diligent, honest, open-minded, responsible, full of team spirits,and highly motivated to learn in any field. Strong interests in research works.
