SUMMARY
The SCPM will be the interlink between the Jabil JTS (projects) as SCM organization and the supplier market. This to develop, manage and assure the proper supply base and supplier improvements to contribute to the business design objectives. This role, which is of strategic importance, will not only require a good technical understanding of the JTS development projects (applications) but also need a broad knowledge of supplier's products and roadmaps to support the design center projects. The successful SCPM will have intimate knowledge about supplier roadmaps, industry pricing, logistic T&C's and must be a good negotiator. The SCPM will work closely with the JTS System Architects, JTS Project managers as Jabil Corporate Commodity Management (CCM), Regional Commodity Manager(RCM), alignment strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Team Guidance:
-Provide supplier (market) as cost guidance on key components as commodities, via CCM and RCM, during the PCP process.
-Identify competitive functional alternatives during the definition stages of the project.
-Work closely with Product Architecture or Project Manager to match Jabil and customer road maps to supplier road maps.
-Scan for new suppliers and manage their initial selection.
-Coordinate with the purchasing community to structure the relation with our suppliers.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Strategy and Direction:
-Analyze the market needs, develop an appropriate supply chain strategy, and recommend a course of action to the appropriate Corporate Commodity Managers (CCM),Regional Commodity Managers(RCM).
-Compare the supply chain strategy and development needs to the current Jabil strategic supply base. Then identify the supply chain weaknesses and establish a plan of action.
-Through various inputs, identify potential Jabil strategic design partners and foster close relationships at all levels of the organizations.

Cost Management:
-Define, develop and make effective use of cost analysis tools.
-Develop and provide market based intelligence to the team for the appropriate projects.
-Lead key negotiations for ASIC's within each RFQ or awarded development program including component price evolution.
-Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and advanced supply chain optimization programs such as supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges, and EDI/SIS demand communication with key suppliers falling outside JABIL'S strategic supplier base.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
-Work in concert with Global Commodity Management (CCM & RCM) and/or supply chain sectment manager(SCSM) on assigned programs, lead the effort to obtain full commodity and sourcing control of BOM and AVL in the design phase.
-Assist in executing the RFQ as appropriate for the program.
-Through understanding and experience in the basic processes of PCP support (T)PM.
-Execute Jabil's Early Supplier Involvement program.
-Assuring the completeness and accuracy of the different databases with purchasing data and contributing to the underlying processes. (Transfer - Production sites)

Customer Service and Business Development
-Become the Jabil supply chain expert as it relates to the particular market and strategy
-Work closely with the Systems Architecture and/or Project Management to develop new design opportunities with new and existing customers
-Anticipate and meet/exceed customer expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively. Make program and customer service issues the top priority.
-Represent Jabil's materials team in a professional manner during program meetings, audits, presentations and conference calls.
-Be a good relation manager
-Comply and follow all procedures within the company security and ethics policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
? A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline preferred.
? Other discipline's will be considered with a proven track record in the appropriate market segment.
? Prefer 6 to 8 years supply chain related experience at a major OEM in the appropriate market segment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Experience in a design and product launch environment is important.
? An understanding of electronics manufacturing and materials management as well as a proven track record in negotiation, and cost reduction activities;
? Strong leadership skills. Domestic and international travel is required (up to 50%).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
? Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
? Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
? Ability to effectively present information to Business Unit Management, Customer, and other members of the Jabil staff.
? Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.

Design Services (DS)
Design Services offers comprehensive product development from basic printed circuit board layout to complex product designs. We work closely with Jabil Business Units, Workcells and customers to quickly progress concepts into volume production. In addition, we incorporate vital Design for Manufacturability (DFm) and Design for Testability (DFt) guidelines that reduce production costs and increase product quality.

Our Design capabilities include electrical engineering, software engineering, PCB layout, mechanical engineering, industrial design, tooling engineering, and quality assurance.

We currently maintain product competencies in networking, servers and storage, mobile and wireless products and consumer electronics.

Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT)
Advanced Manufacturing Technology provides customer and sales support, systematic training, equipment and process capability studies, implementation support and technology roadmaps for advanced manufacturing, test and failure analysis processes and emerging product technologies.

Global Test Services (GTS)
Global Test Services provides test development and support for all Jabil manufacturing facilities.
