Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:

    

 

  

GPM is the global rate repository for Damco Ocean business, GOPSU (Global Ocean Pricing Support Unit) is responsible for all Damco Freight forwarding data publishing activities for this system.

  

 

  

 

  

GPM contract publishing activity

  

 

  

1.Be the process owner of contract publishing activities, interpret and analyse contracts, convert the different forms of contract formats to the standardized excel file.

  

  1 Data quality is the most important criteria of assessment, zero tolerance of service failure due to GPM data quality issue. (=0 service failure score 3   >=1 service failure score 2)

  

  2.1 Clarify with the global route managers and local carrier managers timely and professionally if anything unclear in the contracts

  

  2.2 As the centre ocean team, we should have the knowledge and ability to spot the errors logically and manually input errors when we transform the contracts to the system.

  

 

  

3. Keep the SOP updated; make sure the knowledge has been warehoused in document.

  

 

  

4. Ensure the contracts received in the BA have been followed through (no mails have been missed).

    

 

    

 

  

GPM surcharge publishing

  

 

  

1.Responsible for surcharge publishing in GPM with 100% data accuracy and timeliness, proactively monitor carrier website for surcharge changes – ensuring frontline sales and customer service to quote for businesses accurately and timely.

  

 

  

2. Save the surcharge notices in H drive and keep surcharge tracking updated for future verification.

  

 

  

3. Clear up the existing governing charges to make sure all of them are well-structured and accurate.

    

 

    

 

  

GPM contract/surcharge audit

  

 

  

Be ultimate responsible for the defined scope’s data quality, perform audit for published contract and surcharges timely to ensure 100% data quality.

  

 

  

1. All contracts must be audited and committed amendment within 24 hours.

    

2. Extract the surcharge values from Maersk.com in timely manner and compare the surcharge values between Maersk.com and GPM repository, to make sure 100% data quality.

  

 

    

 

  

 

  

Support on PRICING PROJECT and add hoc tasks

  

 

    

As Pricing project will push forward for Bluejay integration.  in case of any support is required, you can be the person to take up the responsibility.

  

 

  

 

    

 

  

 

  

 

    

Learning opportunities in the position:

    

 

  

1. Become expert of Damco’s global rate management system - GPM

2. Global exposure to Damco Ocean community, with global publishing responsibility

3. Surcharges application logic of all major ocean surcharges across carriers

4. Understanding of DAMCO/carriers contracting behaviour, commercial characteristics of various carriers in terms of pricing

5. Learn structured problem-solving skills to control any issues during the course of daily operations or during project tasks

          

 

    

Specific requirements for the position:

    

 

  

1. Sense of urgency

2. Good command of English - Preferred CET 6

3. University graduate

4. Preferred 1-2 years working experience in global shipping/logistics industry, but not a must

5. Able to complete tasks with a strong drive until its fully finished with good quality

6. Mature and a good team-player
