The Defect Manager is responsible for the management and organization of the defect management team. The Defect Manager is in account for technical and target oriented collaboration of all relevant teams within Portfolio M2M and Portfolio Management.

The Defect Manager reports all project related matters to the responsible TPM or SPM and (C)PM. All non-project related issues has to be reported to the ST Resource Manager. The disciplinary superior of Defect Manager is the ST Resource Manager

A week in the life of a system test team leader:

·       Definition and improvement of defect management process

·       Organization and activation of defect management process, i.e. organization of the defect evaluation, the reporting per project and information flow as per defined processes

·       Managing the Defect Board: Pre-analysis and gathering of information regarding defects, the participants are depending on the topics (Defect Management, AE, Development and/or SE)

·       Overview of all defects

·       Regular provision of decision matrix of defects for TPM/PM decision (Result of Defect Board Triggering decisions about priorities

·       Status reports about product life cycle

·       Reporting defect status

·       Weekly accounting of efforts in the project management tool

·       Further tasks could be established according to the product development demand and nominated by the Resource Manager

·      

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

·       To succeed in this job, you must have: knowledge of wireless technology, specifically for wireless modules; ability to understand 3gpp specs; good experience to analyze and manage defects efficiently

·       It would be preferred if you have experience on managing the defect board, analyze defects and report defect status

·       You must be fluent in English.

·       We would like someone to join our team who is a quick-learner with excellent soft skills, a strong communicator and problem-solver, analytical, a team-player and self-motivated.

·       You must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunication or Computer Software Engineering.

·       We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experiences in defect management
