MANUFACTURING, QUALITY & LOGISTICS SENIOR CONSULTANT

As a Quality, Manufacturing & Logistics Consultant, you will perform situational analysis, structure the task at hand, develop solutions, and optimize processes and structures. You may be responsible for verifying quality standards, supporting suppliers through manufacturing disruptions or coordinating the efficient, transportation of goods end to end. Whether working independently or on a team, you may be looked at to investigate, negotiate, develop smart solutions and be an overall assertive point of contact.

A Day in the Life:

• Responsible for the successful development and execution of lean manufacturing projects

• Communicate and collaborate directly with automotive & aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers on the shop floor

• Lead teams through production processes and events to develop value streams that assist with team prioritization

• Assess and monitor quality, production and supply chain operations

• Establish and maintain production reviews in accordance with client and site leadership requirements

• Schedule and perform audit activities to include pre-audit planning, audit execution & evaluation, and post-audit follow-up & recommendations
• Develop & analyze KPI’s while working with multiple teams to ensure that requirements are met and exceed client expectations
• Responsible to train, teach and guide our clients on their way to excellence

• Manage overall project plans, scope, cost, risk, etc.

What You Have:

• Master/B.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical education or equivalent field of study preferred

• 5+ years professional experience working in Automotive manufacturing operations

• Strong competence in problem-solving and a pragmatic hand-on approach

• Proven experience in internal audit, process improvement or logistics planning
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and other quality assurance standards
• Strong applied knowledge in MS Office and manufacturing software (MES, ERP)

• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methods and production systems including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

• Extensive hands on experience implementing lean methodologies at a shop floor level

• Excellent verbal and written English language skills as well as strong presentation skills

• Experience in moderating and managing teams

• Possess self-confidence, high motivation and an enthusiastic personality

• Excellent English skills and are fluent in Chinese.

• Flexible when it comes to travels in and outside of China

What You May Have:

• Master’s degree
• Automotive experience working with OEM’s, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Quality certifications such as RedX, Shanin, VDA, TS/ISO
• German language skills are a plus
