The Controls System Engineer is as an active member of Customer Applications and Vehicle Engineering team. The key duties and responsibilities are to support system and software design for internal and customers project.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

· Designing, verifying and validating controls systems

· Developing software in Simulink, integration and testing

· Verifying and validating of the software on HIL or in the vehicle

· Delivering, reporting and presenting of work progress

· Collaborating with others to plan, design, develop and test

· Supporting in vehicle system integration

· Analysing and resolving technical problems

· Supporting CAE activities

· Technical degree in software, electronics, controls or automotive engineering

· 5+ years’ Automotive engineering experience

· Understanding Electric Vehicles and challenges involved with their development

· Calibration and diagnostics using OBD, bespoke instrumentation, CAN / FlexRay interfaces, etc.

· Experience of using Matlab / Simulink or similar model-based tools

· Auto-code generation experience

· Experience of vehicle-level control system (BCM, ECU, TCU, ABS, EBD, ESP, TCS, BMS, MCU, ePAS, etc) design and implementation and calibration

· Appreciation of the system safety implications and how to achieve a safe design

· Understanding software development process
