40 % Portfolio Strategies
1.Support key initiatives to integrate and improve portfolio management and business intelligence systems, tools and processes across the organization
2.Facilitate the development, refinement, communication, and execution of portfolio strategies for oncology and autoimmune disease portfolio in partnership with Discovery, Research, Clinical R&D, Clinical Operations & Affairs and Commercial
3.Optimize governance models to drive efficient and clear decision-making by conducting market analysis, emerging industry trends and portfolio analysis
4.Align organization across on oncology and other disease areas portfolio strategy and priorities
40 % Business Intelligence& Portfolio Valuation
5.Understand the strategic and operational challenges and initiate work streams to address critical or recurring delays, problems or obstacles
6.Identify potential issues with appropriate escalation of time-sensitive issues and thought partnership in mitigation plans
7.Provide portfolio tools, processes and reports to assist Program/Project Management
8.Develop ad-hoc product development plans (PDP) based on priority needs for project valuation, by analyzing internal & external business intelligence, e.g. disease treatment flow, treatment options& SOCs, patient access policies& unmet needs, competition landscape, KOL insights, disease area strategy, launch timelines, alignment with brand strategy, strategic evaluation& product value proposition, priority matrix for Go/No-Go suggestions
9.Support the development of financial modeling tool to evaluate R&D projects and portfolios with automatic sales, P&L and cash flow forecasts, Monte Carlo simulations and sensitivity analysis for any potential combination of options, risks, events and scenarios
10.Facilitate portfolio prioritization& optimization process (from target validation through clinical POC, providing the appropriate data and recommendations to facilitate trade off decisions between programs and projects) and portfolio growth strategy
11.Identify best practices from a portfolio management perspective from within and outside, and surfacing opportunities for improvement
20 % Communication
12.Proactively communicate with accountable functional head for PDP in puts; coordinate portfolio meeting and review process within assigned R&D Units to facilitate R&D strategy& priorities, and manage resources within the portfolio
13.Support R&D due diligence for development targets and manage collaborations/partnerships that impact the pipeline in partnership with the R&D Alliance management group QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-Advanced degree (MS, PhD or MD in medical or other relevant biological science) is required; with MBA degree is highly preferred
Experience
1.Minimum of 4 years of combined biopharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles associated with drug development or commercial functions
2.With a track record of supporting cross-functional drug development teams in a core function (e.g. R&D, Project Management, Regulatory, Business development, Marketing etc.) with a track record of expertise in Oncology
3.Consulting background is a plus
Skills
1.Ability to quickly extract key insights from an excess of data and details and effectively prioritize programs /projects based
2.Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact
3.Outstanding interpersonal and communication (oral and written) including Powerpoint presentations, data management and analytical skills are essential
4.Good command in written& spoken English is highly preferred
5.Proficient in MS Office application, knowledge in Palisade @risk, Power BI & SPSS will be a plus
