Strategic Procurement Manager I
Description
As a strategic procurement manager your role will be to manage strategic initiatives that drive down cost across the ISS Server BU portfolio. The partner management team in ISS Strategic procurement is highly focused on world class cost management. We're looking to expand our team that is responsible for driving down cost through "could be" and "should be" cost structures, benchmarks, teardowns and drill downs into cost quotes. This position will be responsible for China based efforts to significantly drive down cost across the ISS Server portfolio. Specific cost programs will be determined by the Strategic Procurement Manager but will include product teardowns, cost quote deep dives, warranty deep dives and benchmarking. The position will interact frequently with Strategic Procurement Managers, Partner Managers, Strategy teams, cost analysts in various WW locations, engineering resources, various factories and HP suppliers.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor degree in Business, Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent 5 years of experience in procurement and relationship management.
Experience and Knowledge
At least 5 years experience in procurement and supplier management
Skills required in the following areas:
? Supplier management - metrics and indicators
? Engineering Background a plus
? Negotiation skills
? Project management
? Pricing and cost break down analysis
? Basic manufacturing processes
? Communication skills and team work
? Cross culture orientation
? High level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Fluency in English - Must.
Additional language - advantage
Location - Shanghai
