Candidate qualifications
? Degree/Diploma in Logistics/Business/Operations/Engineering/Computer Science/Math/statistic
? At least 1 yrs experience in planning/purchasing role.
? Excellent English skills in speaking, listening and writing
? Excellent affinity for numbers and data analysis
? Able to understand complex issues quickly
? Able to deliver operational results and ability to drive issues to closure
? Strong working knowledge in supply chain concepts, demand forecasting & materials planning and working with parts suppliers
? Proven experience in purchasing or planning for materials in service or manufacturing environment
? Able to communicate well with people in all regions inclusive of USA, Europe and Asia. These people are both internal HP folks and external suppliers
? Scalable to be hands-on operations and strategic thinker at the same time
? Good computer skills MS office applications , SAP knowledge is plus
? Good negotiation skills
? Previous experience in regional jobs is preferred
Job description
? Execute planning actions to support service supply chain products throughout their lifecycle execute the relevant purchase plan with the relevant suppliers
? Owns the Parts Availability and Inventory level performance KPI
? Create robust forward looking materials plan which encompasses historical demand, new product demand signal and exceptional demand signal for purchase execution
? Manage the fine balance between new parts and repaired parts supply picture in the forecast plan to minimize materials cost and inventory
? Responsible to achieve a balance performance on parts availability, inventory level and cost
? Extreme focus to maintain the required parts availability performance on daily basis, executing quick action to ensure quick recovery
? Manage recovery actions expectation with customers
? Manage parts rolls and quality issues with cross functional team to minimize impact to parts availability and inventory level
? Work with cross functional teams to explore opportunities on systems & processes enhancement activities
? Ensure all Purchase Orders are executed at timely manner with appropriate acknowledgement responses from suppliers
? Negotiate with suppliers to ensure all shipment schedule will come in time to meet the materials plan.
? Execute shipment pull-in and push-out for demand surge and demand decline situation
? Monitor that all shipments are received into stock in timely manner
? Resolve Problem receipts within the shortest possible time
? Resolve invoice and payment issues with suppliers in shortest possible time
? Produce supplier performance report such as past due, unacceptable ship dates...etc for corrective actions and management reviews
? Monitor all shortage parts with extreme focus with quick actions to ensure fast recovery
? Extreme focus to maintain the required parts availability performance on daily basis
? Provide Expected Parts Availability date information to customers
? Drive suppliers to their required turnaround time performance level
