Role Summary/Purpose

This role is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity within CMS. You will be expected to follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short term planning. In the area of Product Stewardship/Product Compliance you will implement on strategic plans, product introduction, management of change, product and raw material regulatory assessments and chemical inventory classifications, transport classificat

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible to support compliance and implementation of chemical management programs. • Maintain product and raw material regulatory data in Phoenix/Medusa and SAP. Ensure integrity and security of the data is maintained. • Be integral part of product commercialization of new products in the NPI process. • Support EHS compliance with chemical control regulations, including but not limited t,o health and safety assessments, transportation, potable, food contact, internal auditing of all product regulatory and other requirements, regulatory assessment of proposed product changes, perform hazard assessments for MSDS development, author/maintain MSDS and product label content; including country specific requirements. • Respond to external, and internal (GE Corporate) requests for product regulatory information, support customers with product regulatory issues, and interact with governmental and nongovernmental agencies on product registrations / certifications • Work with the APAC Product Stewardship team to assist in the processing of Support Central workflows in Product Questionnaires [PQ’s], New Raw Material Introductions, Sub/Alts, and all MMOC to meet the assigned cycle time targets. • Maintain a thorough knowledge of emerging regulations as they apply to products • Submit required reports and communications with regulatory agencies • Utilize the existing software systems and drive projects to expand digitization for simplification and efficiency • Support Variable Cost Productivity [VCP] and Direct Material Productivity [DMP] projects in execution

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Environmental Science or Engineering from an accredited university or college • Domain knowledge and demonstrated experience with hazardous communication, MSDS and labelling - The working location is open for Beijing & Wuxi

Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization • Ability to adapt to/drive change across a dynamic business environment • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment • Strong result oriented mindset • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Project work experience preferred • Six Sigma training / Green Belt certified is preferred (GE candidates only)
