Functional Safety Certification (SIL) Product Manager/Engineer

Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Business Strategy

1. Receive customer’s inquiries, prepare technical proposal according to LR’s internal sources, outsourcing resources and marketing condition.
2. Give basic training to sales team and work closely with marketing and sales team to promote the hit rate of SIL enquiries.
3. Give feedback to company for the latest technical and commercial strategy of main SIL competitors in China.
4. All other functional safety related activities, such as technical research, seminar, etc.
5. Lead/support management to set SIL business and price strategy to get a greater market share for LR is a plus.

SIL Project Execution

1. Manage projects’ progress, TAT, and communicate with the customers continually.
2. Review client’s documents, such as block diagram, electrical schematic, FMEA and all hard ware and software related documents.
3. Conduct the on-site audit in the client’s office to verify the process of SIL certification
4. Draft evaluation report according to IEC 61508 and other related functional safety standards.
5. Provide training and consulting to customers to make sure the smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
6. Coordinate with internal and external engineering resources.
7. Witness and instruct related necessary tests at internal or external laboratories.

Bachelor or above with more than 3 years design experience in research and development of imbedded products for hardware or software, better in Instrument/Rail industry. More than 2 years functional safety assessment experience for electrical/programmable electronic systems.

Job Skill Requirements:

• Good knowledge of hardware and software design and related testing methods.
• Basic knowledge of safety engineering, good to have functional safety standards experience, especially for IEC 61508, IEC 61511, EN 50126, EN 50128, ISO 13849, etc.
• Familiar with at least one embedded programing languages, such as C, C++, assembly, etc.
• Familiar with the software development process, such as V-Model, Waterfall model, etc.
• Knowing SIL market and have related experience in both process industry (instrument and valves)and rail industry (signal products, etc.) is a plus
• Excellent English both in written and oral.
