Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: The Data Support Specialist will serve to support design & maintenance of GE Aviation's PBN Services performance-based instrument procedures. The ideal candidate is able to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of specific tasks while working as an integral part of a dynamic team on larger tasks. This person must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent communication skills are a must. • Collect, Evaluate and verify aeronautical and obstacle data • Obtain & follow-up on AIP data and temperature data. • Serve as liaison to airport facilities management, operator’s airport/airspace personnel. • Obtaining and maintaining relevant airport/airspace infrastructure data. • Monitor relevant AIRAC and NOTAM reports • Support procedure maintenance • Coding and Quality Assurance of GE Aviation's PBN Services-designed procedures in Navdatabases, including: Internal and External Navdatabase testing and management Support Navdatabase production submittals and Integrity monitoring Monitor FMC database coding standards (ARINC 424) and integrate changes into the GE Aviation's PBN Services process. Support data discrepancies, internally and externally • Support Navdatabase production submittals and Integrity monitoring • Monitor FMC database coding standards (ARINC 424) and integrate changes into the GE Aviation process. • Continuous Improvement of Processes related to NavData and procedure source data • Serving as liaison to Navdatabase suppliers, including: Developing and maintaining superior working relationships & agreements Coordinating implementation and monitoring use and effects of GE Aviation's PBN Services Procedures Coordinating data discrepancies, internally and externally Support quality assurance and automation of data coding activities

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of specific tasks while working as an integral part of a dynamic team on larger tasks. • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy. • Excellent communication skills are a must. • Minimum 4-year degree required in an aviation related study, Aviation/Airport Management, or Computer Science • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Demonstrated quick learner with exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines • Dispatch or flight operations experience desirable • Experience integrating production Navdatabases with multiple FMS platforms highly desirable • Working knowledge of ARINC 424 desirable • Experience with airline operators and OEM’s highly desirable
