Description：
Accountable for aggregating machine, component and parts demand at the enterprise level for critical suppliers, applying supplier constraints, and allocating constrained supply to production facilities and parts business division to lead minimization of supplier impacts to point of use availability, reduce demand variability and improve Caterpillar’s order-to-delivery results.

Incumbent is accountable for the model development and identification of critical suppliers, defined as suppliers who supply parts to multiple Caterpillar locations, long lead time suppliers, suppliers who supply high usage parts and suppliers who provide critical parts. Incumbent is accountable for the deployment and integration of rough cut capacity planning (RCCP) at business divisions, providing enterprise visibility to aggregated demand management, and driving integration to supply chain processes

This role leads efforts to aggregate machine, component and parts demand, identifies critical supplier constraints and applies the internal policy for allocation of constrained supply to production facilities.

Incumbent identifies critical suppliers’ parts and their respective constraints using the CPS Constraint Identification process, and is a key member of the Global Supplier Constraint Management team. This role leads constraint resolution meetings.

Incumbent fulfills a key role in Caterpillar’s suppliers’ Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, governed by Caterpillar’s Global Supplier S&OP Process. This role will facilitate S&OP activities, which includes identifying product groups impacted by confounded resources and leading the relevant S&OP meetings.

Qualifications：
? Advanced experience and/or knowledge of complex lean concepts and tools highly desired
? Advanced experience and/or knowledge about CPS supply chain principles, specifically those applied to Sales and Operations planning, demand management, constraint management, material allocation and replenishment tools and processes, supply chain planning analytical tools, material flow and throughput efficiency highly desired
? Advanced understanding of common supply chain systems highly desired
? Knowledge of and / or experience deploying using 6Sigma Project Management principles is required.
? Must possess leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for leading people.
? Must possess strong collaborative and interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to lead common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a business division Must have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems.
? Advanced understanding of company policies and procedures and product knowledge
? APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired—must be complete by end of tenure.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
? Master’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required AND
? Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience OR
? Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required AND
? Minimum of five years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience
? Previous experience as a Scheduling Analyst, Production Scheduler, Master Scheduler, Supply Chain Planning Analyst or Engineer highly desired
? Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes highly desired
? A background in Supply Chain, Global Purchasing, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.
? Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process highly desired.
