Essential Responsibilities 

? Support cross-functional teams to deliver qualified Wind Turbine components that meet engineering requirements, cost targets, and production fulfillment schedules.  

? Review supplier documentation, perform audits, and evaluate test results against GE requirements. 

? Lead or coordinate continuous improvement of wind blades to improve quality and/or reduce costs through new or revised special processes and/or alternate materials. 

? Work with supplier and cross-functional teams to resolve material processing related issues encountered during. Review records to detect trends that may indicate undesirable changes in product quality.  

? Perform root cause and corrective action analyses to solve problems encountered with manufacturing processes. 

Role Summary/Purpose 

The successful candidate will be a Materials Engineer for composite materials and processing technologies used in the design and manufacture of wind turbine blades. 

Qualifications/Requirements 

? Minimum equivalent of a BS degree in Materials Science Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.  

? Ability and availability to travel (international and domestic) as needed. 

Desired Characteristics 

? Composites processing and manufacturing experience  

? Proficient in English communication 

? Wind Industry experience preferred  

? Strong verbal and written communication skills 

? Demonstrated ability to influence and drive consensus  

? Highly motivated and hands-on
