Essential Responsibilities
The engineer is involved in all aspects of the product development ranging from requirements analysis, feature development, through prototype generation and testing, to final design validation, documentation, and product release.
In this role as a software engineer you will:
• Design using C/C++
• Analyze code to determine root cause of defects and implement corrective action
• Develop system using real-time embedded operating systems (FreeRTOS, Linux)
• Develop and implement embedded software ranging from high-level application to low level device drivers.
• Work with NPI and sustaining engineering team in development and execution of product enhancements, product upgrades, and new product introductions.
• Engage in all aspects of product development ranging from system level design and requirements analysis through code development and testing
Role Summary/Purpose
In this role as a software engineer, you will be part of a development team working in new product introduction. This team is responsible for the development of next generation portable NDT instrument.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s or above degree in computer software or automatic control fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience of using C/C++ programming language
• Minimum 2 years of experience of professional experience with embedded software
Desired Characteristics
• Demonstrated skills of C/C++ programming language
• Experience creating an embedded application, deploying to an embedded target, and debugging from an embedded target
• Experience porting FreeRTOS, creating an application based on FreeRTOS
• Experience in Linux development environment
• Familiar with ARM and Xilinx’s Zynq platform.
