Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

• Country Leadership for both ITC & TR&S initiatives, providing leadership for the full scope of activities to include but not limited to: • Serve as the initial point of contact for individuals for Export controls, Customs/import controls and International trade compliance issues. • Direct employees and contractors to taggers for advice on the proper classification of products, technology or software. • Direct employees and contractors to the ITC/Legal team for advice on complying with applicable export laws. • Work with local teams to ensure licence applications (both for military and EU Dual Use list purposes) are made as necessary and in a timely fashion. • Collate and process metrics and submit to Global ITC leader as required by the business. • Implement processes to ensure compliance with GEE QMS 7.0.1, Technical Regulations and Standards (TRS) and regulations including REACH, ROHS, WEEE. CE Mark: That means support of Functions in the implementation and execution of these processes, support for documentation creations ( provides templates, guidelines) • A particular focus will be made on: ITO process Flow down of TRS requirements along the OTR process (PCMT/TCP creation) Environmental regulation compliance process (Reach, RoHS, Green passport…) TRS capabilities of suppliers • Plan, Propose and/or lead TRS training programs for all functions. • Facilitate and follow up the closing of the IBA or audit findings contributing to the implementation of the 7.0.1 Procedure. • Drive resolution of open issues of his/her perimeter and escalate when appropriate (Drive the process of registration) • Own & Maintain the list of self-certification signatories and corresponding DoA. • Provide a support to establish declarations of conformity. • Track and manage the relationship with 3rd parties and certification bodies. • Organize audits and perform audits outside of his perimeter. • Create and Maintain TRS dashboard. • Establish informal / dotted line team to achieve and maintain compliance, including Quality and non-Quality resources in his/her site/country. • Lead and facilitate if required the cross functional team in charge of the TRS for a platform or a vertical segment: PCMT. • Network with TRS leaders throughout Power Conversion Participate to the monthly global quality TRS meeting Participate to global meetings as « global approach for IBA » ( 24th Sept of 2012) Participate to the PCMT if needed as member Lead global actions or projects if required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Qualified engineer with at least 5 years’ experience working with similar products in this industry.• Fluency in English & Mandarin.

Desired characteristics & attributes:• Understanding of specifications and standards and/or statutory regulations and the ability to distinguish the detail.• Knowledge of local Trade controls regime• ITO or OTR experience would be useful• Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office programs• Experience in working with the Government or other Compliance related experience• Quality/Six Sigma experience.
