Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

1. Develop detailed Process Routings, read and comprehend Blueprints, Engineering Specifications and Details. Determine best/most economical Process Sequence. Perform on the floor trouble shooting of existing and new Shop Order Instructions 2. Assistance in gathering cost detail in analysis of past performance and as result of method improvements. 3. Establish & maintain systems and procedures to remain competitive. 4. Specify standard unit run time for manufacturing of components parts and assemblies by use of estimations, time studies and case history. Also provides estimations of run time for costing of new products and projects etc 5. Plan routings for special jobs that arise at the request of Production Control, Quality Control, Engineering etc. Evaluates and alters, if required original planning to correct errors, or sequence of operations on routing to improve production. 6. Implementing Lean Manufacturing and leading the manufacturing team to support QHSE directives, COPQ, Six Sigma Methodology for continuous improvement. 7. Promote teamwork between manufacturing personnel and others from Welding, Test & assembling Quality control etc. 8. Enforce and implement a neat and clean working environment through daily 5S housekeeping practices. 9. Establish best machining strategy with Process Team to reduce manufacturing costs, as well as increase production throughput. 10. Prepare and submit manufacturing reports as required. 11. Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering or should possess an experience of more than 3 years in the field of metal machining , good English on reading, writing, listening and speaking. 2. Should have thorough knowledge of cutting tool application, Fanuc & G&L8000 program, fixture devices, part setting etc. 3. Adoption and interpretation of established practices & procedures. 4. Strong leadership qualities with a drive to succeed 5. Analytical and familiar with the application of manufacturing technology eg. Tooling application, fixture design & programming 6. Strong communication and interpersonal skill and must be a team player.
