Role Summary/Purpose

As Syndication Ops Analyst you are responsible for the wing to wing execution of the syndication processes, including accurate and timely processing of Client and Investor reporting and wire transfers. This requires close cooperation with internal functions such as Capital Markets, Risk and Funding CoE as well as external Clients and Investors to ensure all business requirements are met


Essential Responsibilities

1. Manage the monthly and quarterly execution of all syndication transactions for the 2 deal type structures: a) Buy/Sell transactions: Trade receivable invoice purchase(s) from client, then sold to investor(s). Bi-lateral (one investor) or syndicated (several investors), one-off or revolving sales. Settlement and remittance reporting is processed through GECC b) Agent/Arranger transactions: Manage the direct sale between the client and investor. Bi-lateral (one investor) or syndicated (several investors), one-off or revolving sales. 2. Timely execution of both buy/sell and agent arranger deals. Manage transition (processing handoff) successfully for: a) Agent Arranger deals: Coordinated with WCS internal (Commercial, Capital Markets, and Risk), client and investors with respect to remittances and statements. Agent Deals will be managed and executed by this role. b) Buy/sell: Coordinated with WCS internal (Commercial, Capital Markets, Risk and Funding CoE) and investors with respect to executing payment and statements 3. Maintain and develop internal controls that support the flawless execution of all Syndication operations activities. Take ownership of accurate and timely execution of key reconciliations per deal such as: -Signed Purchase Notice to Funds received and the Factorlink ASTDB module; -Remittance report to Factorlink ASTDB and the wire instructions; -Wire instructions to Bank statement. Any disconnects should be reported immediately to the Global Operations Syndication Leader to take corrective actions. 4. Communicate & closely work together with the Capital Markets team and other operating teams: a. Accurate & prompt response and resolution to Client and Investor inquiries b. Maintain constant communication & feedback to the FactorLink development team c. Assist where necessary in reconciliations with clients, investors and/or controllership d. Follow up with clients on overdue invoices e. Close cooperation with the Bank Booking Team to allocate Syndication payments 5. Provide support for all other operating activities, including, but not limited to:: a. Accurate and on time execution, account, prepare, and review funding payments in multiple currencies for 250+ clients globally, with a receivable balance of about $7B+ USD (for deals covered/managed thru FactorLink). b. Deal execution includes coverage for Europe, the Americas and Asia c. Prepare & check funding reports for clients 6. Lead and/or Participate in improvement projects within FactorLink, Client/Investor reporting or general process improvements where required. 7. Actively work with Commercial, Capital Markets and Risk team on growth initiatives such as ‘emerging market’ and NPI’s. a) Work with the Emerging Markets country project teams to ensure in-country operational requirements are understood and met b) Assist in the set- up of necessary operational infrastructure c) 8. Support the Syndication Operations Leader with new deal integration from an operational standpoint: a) Review contract condition (timing, data, etc) b) Risk assessment/due diligence c) Set-up of new deals in systems (if applicable) 9. Pro-active and independent problem solving with a standardization mindset and the right teamwork skills to share best practice with the team.


Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (Commercial, Management or Finance degree preferred)• Minimum of 3-5 years directly related experience in financing services activities, Factoring a plus• Financial & Client Account Analysis Experience• Factoring and Trade Finance knowledge and experience a plus• Factoring System knowledge a plus• Self-starter, and strong ownership of portfolio and clients’ accounts assigned.• Ability to build strong relationships with our stakeholders (internal as well as external) • Customer responsive, problem solver.• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment• Demonstrated effective organization & multi-tasking skills and attention to detail • Excellent computer skills, Excel a must. Knowledge of Oracle & Business Objects a plus• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (especially English) •: Mandarin and English are a requirement. Portuguese and Dutch are a plus
