Position Description
-Grow revenue by leading the direct sales team
--Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales processes and compensation plans, costs, and results
--Recruit, develop, manage, mentor and train salespeople
--Manage the sales funnel, developing leads into customers
--Identify significant sales opportunities and focus sales efforts on these accounts to work with team to get the proper terms and conditions, contracts and logistics in place to best support these strategic accounts
--Assist sales team in closing major opportunities; Grow revenue by leading the distribution program
--Identify, recruit and sign contracts with new distribution partners that will be a good partner to the Company.
-Fitting in with the overall distribution plans and objectives and that will provide the proper image for the Company in the market place
--Manage the current distribution partners
---Establish budgets, goals and priorities with the distributors
---Work with the distributor partners to ensure they meet and exceed these goals
-Grow Revenue by working with our Global Marketing and Product
-Management teams
--Work with Global Marketing to
--develop the necessary sales aides, literature and packaging required to support the direct sales force and channel partners while maintaining global brand consistency
Position Requirements
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience with a minimum of five years at a Sr. Sales Management level. An advanced business degree is a plus.
-Must have a successful demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth
-A deep understanding of the local China connectivity market
-An understanding of the cultural distinctions, communications styles and business practices of US-based global manufacturing companies
-Experience building and managing high-performing direct sales teams
-Experience managing interconnects and / or wireless distributors for manufacturer of cable assembly, interconnect, wireless or similar products
-Experience with Marketing and e-Commerce
-The successful candidate must demonstrate a polished professional image with superior organizational, planning and verbal/written skills in both Mandarin and English
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM and ERP software systems
-Must be able to travel extensively throughout Greater China and occasionally internationally
-Result driven, customer oriented and accountable.
-Experience with cultural differences of multinational / global company operating in China.
-Experience working in a matrix environment (reporting relationships, global vs. local requirements, working through peers and non-reporting line teams).
-Ability to interact with senior level management locally and globally.
