PURPOSE:

The Quality Assurance Manager` is responsible for the quality competence center in GPU. Assignment and responsibility to establish and lead the `LCC Quality Assurance Team`. Main task is to develop and maintain a pool of qualified supervisors to execute the global Sandvik Mining Systems quality strategy with key suppliers, to continue the competence development of GPU QA team, coordination with engineering and construction sites, systems to improve supplier quality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

? To establish and lead the Quality Assurance Team;

? To plan and conduct audits on suppliers and sub-suppliers. Verify systems including management and existence of a sound quality system, quality department, QC documentation, ITP's, workers qualifications, relevant international certifications;

? To establishment a system to monitor and track suppliers quality issues (NCR's) with the goal to improve overall performance;

? To Establish annual department budget, schedule expenditures, analyse variances, make corrective actions;

? To ensure that all required ITP procedures are implemented and monitored by the suppliers, sub-contractors, and our site teams;

? To ensure that sub-contractor quality records are reviewed and verified;

? To ensure that material certification and traceability records are reviewed and maintained;

? To compile the off and on site inspection activities with the QA team in accordance with the contracted level of quality surveillance ;

? Coordination with Mining Systems Tech Centers in terms of:
clarification and resolution of engineering issues, TQ's, NCR's
as-build drawings
technical requirements and specifications
material standards in LCC like plates, pipes, profiles and so on,
split of preassembling unit,
quality levels for different client requirements

? To ensure that independent UT and MT testing of critical welds are done by Third Party Inspectors;

? To ensure weekly QC reports to the Project Manager in charge;

? To ensure that 'punch lists' are completed and verified;

? To establish the Non Conformity Reports (NCR's)

? To ensure that the final Manufacturer Data Report (MDR) before FOB date for shipping are compiled;

? To support the coordination and administration team with updated information regarding the work experience with the chosen suppliers.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Strategic Planning, Analysing Information, Excellent Verbal and Written Communications, Reporting, Informing Others, Attention to Detail, Quality Engineering Background, Familiar with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, EN, and AS, Understanding of WPS/PQR/ITP/NDT requirements.

Responsibility for:

GPU LCC Quality Assurance Team, provide key interface and support for our Mining System PPU's, Tech Center's and Sales Team, develop and implement systems to assure supplier continual improvement, perform timely supplier audits
