  Job Description 

 The General Manager has the Ownership to drive company’s business growth and to deliver the P&L target 

 §  P&L owner – responsible for annual budgeting, rolling forecast and budget delivery 

 §  Responsible for strategy and executing the business plan in order to sustain the business growth 

 §  To drive operation excellence and best client’s proposition to support both shareholder and 3rd party clients 

 §  To ensure talent management process is in place and effective to retain talents and also to support the business demands 

 §   Responsible for company’s legal and compliance management process in place and in line with the requirements from group 

 §   Responsible for company’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE)   

Role Responsibilities 

 1.    Profitability – 40% 

 §  Develop and grow profitability in term of Gross Profit (GP) and EBIT 

 §  Improve cost effectiveness in both variable cost (labour, materials, utilities, etc.) and fixed cost (rental, staffs, sales and admin, etc.) 

 §  Enhance business diversities for a healthy and balanced business structure   

 2.    Business capability – 20% 

 §  Develop handling capabilities in line with market trend and clients’ demands §  Establish competitive strength and differentiations from the market competitions   

 3.    People Development – 20% 

 §  Design and optimise an adequate organizational structure in place to ensure the company is functioning 

 §  Select / deselect leaders in the right position 

 §  Ensure to maintain a leadership pipeline & have a succession plan in place 

 §  Responsible in objective setting, performance management and personal development with direct reports and ensure they are cascading the same to each level in the company   

 4.    Collaboration & community development – 20% 

 §  Effectively work with Board to ensure timely communication and transparent visibility 

 §  Engage with Maersk Commercial, Products and Operations teams on Global/Regional/Cluster level to explore new developments and opportunities from existing and new clients 

 §  Closely work LOC to identify the improvement opportunities for depot service and to continuously grow the depot volume

 §  Degree educated preferably in Business/Logistics/Engineering

 §  Ability to interface with Executive Level Management 

 §  Ability to build strong effective networks 

 §   Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify activities 

 §   Logistics operation and warehousing experience is preferred
