Position Summary:

Provide product line lifecycle, price and position analysis and recommendations to Vice President - Asia Pacific to maximize market share, profit and revenue. Develop, Execute & Manage Marketing Strategy & Planning for specified business segment in close coordination with Vice President, Directors of Sales and Corporate (OPWFTG) Marketing Support. Develop and implement market research programs for specified business segment.



Essential Functions:

1.Work safely and without injury.

2.Analyzes market trends and potentials; prepares sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations and for controlling inventories. Provide product line lifecycle management, price, position, market and industry analysis to maximize market share, profit and revenue.

3.Creates and executes marketing strategy and plans for specified business segments working closely with Sales and Corporate (OPWFTG) Marketing Support teams.

4.Creates and drives market research activities for specified business segment. Develops and suggests ideas for new products.

5.Creates marketing plans and conducts market research to develop customer and competitor knowledge for new product development and to expand market share. Provides analysis from market/customer demand to meet the market/customer demand.

6.Responsible for all advertising and literature creation and placements.

7.Develops and recommends market objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts for assigned product or products.

8.Develops methods for field testing marketing programs to determine public acceptance; evaluates the effectiveness of promotional and advertising programs; recommends improvements or changes.

9.Reviews complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product(s).

10.Develops new business by identifying and promoting target opportunity areas. Recommends changes, improvements, or deletions to assigned product(s).

11.Participates in the evaluation of potential product/company acquisitions

12.Supports market development, sales promotion, advertising, distribution, and pricing policies.

13.Provides Product training to sales team and customers. Make joint sales calls with sales team.

14.Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluation, organizing, integrating, and controlling.

15.May also have supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.

16.Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.

17.Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.

18.Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.



Required Education and/or Experience:

1.Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing. (Masters Degree would be preferred)

2.At least three years of work experience in sales/marketing/product analysis along with at least two years experience in multi-line, multi-product manufacturing business.



Required Qualifications:

1.Proven ability to collect and analyze market and product data. Ability to present data and information to cross functional areas of company to support recommendations for product lines, pricing, marketing strategy, etc.

2.Proven record of contributing described essential functions with a growing and successful branded company(s).

3.Strong analytical skills: Expert level in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint.

4.Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

5.Ability to work with minimal supervision.

6.Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.

7.Ability to effectively problem-solve.

8.Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project's completion.

9.Experience in Industrial valves is a plus.



Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English and Chinese. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Conflict resolution. Excellent verbal and customer service skills. Multi-lingual a plus.
