The Dover regional headquarters was set up in early 2009 in Shanghai and we are in the process of setting up an Asian Purchasing Office within the headquarters to support the different operating companies in China/Asia.

Dover’s corporate goal is to increase the sourcing spend in China/Asia to more than 15% in the next few years. With this strategy, there will be sourcing and re-sourcing activities. Sourcing Engineers will play a very important role to ensure the smooth transfer of tooling and successful launches. The main responsibility for him or her is to communicate the Dover’s technical requirements and specifications with suppliers and manage/monitor closely the progress of the transfer parts and projects.

Major Responsibilities/Duties 工作职责 % of Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
a) Responsible for suppliers searching, pricing, commercial agreement and new supplier development process
b) Execute the entire sourcing process from vendor assessment, RFQ, quote analysis, negotiation, vendor qualification/selection and approval
c) supplier management in terms of cost, quality and delivery
d) Conduct technical review regarding supplier drawing understanding, process design, key characteristic guarantee and special standard reference check
e) Monitor project progress from the beginning to the end from the technical perspective, escalate when needed
f) Understand OPWFTG Technical Functional Specification on different products (castings, machining, rubber, GB&ASTM material spec)
g) Monitor and manage suppliers, relationship maintenance and supplier phase in and phase out;
h) Interface with the global commodity team and different functions in China and other regions.




Key Requirements 主要要求
Education教育背景: Bachelor Degree or above, technical background required
Experience 经验: At least 6 years of experience in technical sourcing and transfer projects
Language skills语言: Good command in English
Computer skills 电脑: Microsoft office tool, design software such as Pro-E, Auto-Cad, Uni-graphic, and Solidworks etc would be prefered
