The Wheatstone LNG Project is a multi-train Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and domestic gas (DomGas) plant near Onslow Australia. Bechtel is honored to participate in the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of this LNG plant. The position begins in Houston for a period of 3-5 months before transferring to the Tianjin, China location.

Role Overview
The Network IT Support will work with senior administrators and IT management to analyze research and help develop solutions for both current and future infrastructure needs. The Network IT Support will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing and resolving Local Area Network problems; in addition, may be called upon to assist in providing technical support for IT infrastructure at Bechtel data center facilities; will coordinate with AP GIO/GDO/CNS teams; will also provide executive, video conference and end user computing support on as necessary basis; will receive technical guidance and administrative supervision from the Network Team Lead.

The Network IT Support will be responsible for the following duties and activities:
1. Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services.
2. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
3. Installs tests and supports local area network/wide area network and telecommunications components such as data/voice switches, routers, and/or voice/video equipment.
4. Develops network/telecommunications operating procedures and guidelines as they relate to data/voice switches, routers, and/or voice/video equipment.
5. Assists in developing standard network/telecommunication device configurations, address schema development, monitoring tool configuration and deployment.
6. Prepares preventative maintenance schedules and backup program necessary to ensure robust network/telecommunications environment.
7. Collaborate with other team members and business units to identify and develop scalable network designs, solutions and policy recommendations.
8. Installs and upgrades software and performs regular maintenance on servers as required.
9. Administers local area Active Directory Sites and Services configuration.
10. Resolves problems and faults concerning installation of hardware or software.
11. Maintains network equipment inventories.

Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience configuring Cisco Equipment including routers/ switches and support of LAN/WAN infrastructure including fiber, T1, and GigE connections.

Additional Information:
1. Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field of study is preferred
2. Completed certifications in CCNA or CCNP desired.
3. Excellent communication, customer support and interpersonal skills
4. Troubleshooting focused on hardware, software, firmware, operating system, network, application problems
5. Demonstrated competency with Cisco routers, switches, and VPN, and Wireless Access Points
6. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to support after-hours projects and issue resolution as needed
7. Experience administrating and troubleshooting Microsoft Server Operating Systems and experience with TCP/IP Networking
8. Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices, settings and maintaining policies and rights/security
9. Thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
10. A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
11. Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities
12. Ability to lift 50 pounds

* The position begins in Houston for a period of 3-5 months before transferring to the Tianjin.
* The specific term of the position is 24 months.
