Responsibilities:

Position Description:
This position is accountable for delivering the standard enterprise reports in line with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) improvement plan in Shell China Exploration & Production Co (SCEPCo).

EA is recognized as a critical enabler to Shell’s unconventional gas business in China,particularly as ventures move from appraisal stage to manufacturing-model development and operations stages. Specifically,EA:
- Clarifies what processes are critical for running the business.
- Creates appropriate standardization of those business processes and explicit accountabilities for process effectiveness.
- Creates a data model that supports those processes and an IT architecture that eliminates data duplication or ambiguities.
- Creates data quality,formatting and accessibility and associated accountabilities such that the right data is available to the right people in the right format in the right time frame.

With the architecture in place,the objective becomes: eliminate waste and continuously improve or redesign business processes positioning SCEPCo to compete amongst an aggressive suite of players.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for understanding and capturing reporting requirements in projects
2. Responsible for development of standard enterprise reports in liaise with Business Process Owners,IT Application Analysts Data Quality Technical Analysts,and Data Architect/Data Modeler to meet key corporate reporting requirements
3. Responsible for design,development and delivering of training materials and classes to users of corporate reporting system (how to use and develop reports)
4. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving problems with reports
5. Responsible for optimization of reporting tools and data sets

Requirements:

• Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering.
• Experience in managing relationships and influencing at the senior level.
• Experience in managing projects and programmes on time and budgets
• Experience in working with Joint venture partners where RDS possibly have lesser direct accountability.
• Fully aware of Shell Architecture framework, principles, policies, standards and governance processes
Specific Qualifications:
Graduate level qualification in Engineering or Computer Science
1. Practical experience in report development (tables, graphs, diagrams, for example, in BO, MS Excel)
2. Knowledge of SQL, database queries (for example, MS Access)
3. Good analytical skills
4. Knowledge of reporting tools (Business Objects, Crystal Reports, MS Excel)
5. Knowledge of MS SharePoint
6. Experience in training programs/materials design and teaching users to use tools and data is a plus
7. Familiarity with Upstream Gas development and Production business processes is a plus
