POSITION TITLE: Team Lead, Client Services

  

REPORTING TO: Regional Infrastructure Operations Manager

    

POSITION SUMMARY:

  

The Team Lead, Client Services’ role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training recommendations and assistance where required. The Team Lead may also carry responsibility for Supervision of other Client Services employees.

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

This role will work closely with the end-user community, IT cohorts and the Regional Infrastructure Operations Manager to provide IT support services to Dover Corporation and its subsidiaries. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC service levels.
  • Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
  • Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Provide guidance, training and mentoring to junior members of the team as required. Act as lead in major issues, coordinating efforts and leading support triage.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Work remotely to cover multiple assigned support sites, may require after-hours support for IT related needs.
  • Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and best practices defined and governed by the Client Services functional tower.
  • Collaborate with the functional towers for incident escalation, resolution and problem management.
  • Other various duties, responsibilities and assignments as necessary.

                                  

  

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field of study).
  • 8 - 10 years of IT work experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.
  • Related CompTIA, Microsoft and HDI Certifications and a plus.
  • Ability to effectively execute tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Develops, builds and manages relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Is optimistic with a can-do attitude.
  • Is honest, genuine and transparent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, understands customers and their needs.
  • Is fair and ethical toward others in all interactions.
  • Customer service skills an asset.
  • Professional Qualification/Certification -ITIL V3/MCSE/CCNA/NP/PMP is a plus

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • CET-4 (CET-6 is a plus)
