As a key member of the Marketing, Strategy and Inverter Scroll team, you will have the full responsibility to manage the Light Scroll platform both fixed speed compressor and Inverter scroll. You will work in a matrix organization and have a platform team consisting of members from R&D, supply chain, quality and procurement. You shall lead this team to ensure that we achieve cost/performance/feature leadership for the light scroll platform. You will work with the Business Segment Manager to translate the market needs to products with the right cost/performance. You also bring a good understanding , strategy and technology trends in the market.

KEY TASKS
Cost reduction
. Benchmark current platform versus competition and identify cost reduction projects
. Liaise with the R&D team and supply chain and push for creative ways for cost reduction - redesign, reverse auction etc.

Complexity reduction
. Closely work with DBS team and execute Complexity Reduction Phase 2 that aims at reducing parts and stocking complexity

Platform rationalization
. Assess the product portfolio from 7 - 15HP and determine the most suitable frame sizes that are needed to address market needs
. Phase out models/codes/platforms as per the product plan
. New platform management

Platform Product performance
. Work closely with the Quality team and factories to monitor the EER/Sound/vibration etc, performance of the platform. Ensure that product
performance meets specs and put in place corrective actions in case there are deviations

Platform Quality Management
. Monitor customer rejects
- both line failure and field failure. Work closely with the Quality team to ensure that we reduce the failure levels consistently.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
. Mechanical Engineer- specialization in HVAC preferred
. MBA is desirable but not essential
. 10 years plus experience in product management
. Experience in the air-conditioning industry is desirable
. Experience working in an international and matrix set up
. Effective communication capability utilizing, spoken, written and graphic media.
. Fluent in English (TOEIC 850)
