JOB PURPOSE:

  

  

A business unit head, leading a marketing team within a distinct product grouping. Sets and executes strategy worldwide with respect to achieving sales revenue, profit and inventory investment. Leadership and development of first line managers and their teams. Manage and develop supplier relationships to achieve marketing and revenue goals. Represent the product family to Customers and Sales branches

  

    

  

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    

  

1. Deliver profitable sales growth through:

  

· Inventory profiles

  

· Competitive quoting

  

· Specific marketing initiatives

  

  

2. Inventory liability and supplier management

  

3. Leadership, management and development of team and team goals.

  

4. Business development and demand creation through product programs, investment positioning and supplier relations

  

    

  

JOB CONTENT (PRIMARY & SECONDARY FUNCTIONS):

  

    

1. Responsible for achieving targeted sales and profitability for a strategic product group

  

  

2. Allocate resources to achieve goals

  

  

3. Responsible for overall efficiency of product managers

  

  

4. Responsible for management of overall group personnel.

  

  

5. Ensuring maximum proficiency in quoting with all relevant group personnel.

  

  

6. Ensuring timely return of quotes to the Sales branches

  

  

7. Ensure that PBO (Purchase Back Order) and CBO (Customer Back Order) are accurate, margins are acceptable and risks calculated

  

  

8. Achieve Group inventory projections by closely working with relevant Asset Managers.

  

9. Establish direction and act upon objectives, strategies and initiative put in place by Head of Marketing Group.

  

  

10. Maintain and enhance relationship with focus suppliers

  

    

  

CREDENTIALS:

    

  QUALIFICATIONS  

  

· A minimum of a Degree or equivalent

  

  

EXPERIENCES

  

  

· A minimum of 10 or more years of experience

  

· Must be able to travel when required

  

· Effective communication in English – additional languages an asset

  

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
