Essential Responsibilities
• Ensure that regulatory requirements are met for the business
• Work with sites to identify the non-compliance risks and develop mitigation actions plans, then follow up
• Proven ability to manage a complicated project
• Maintain the GE LM EHS management system and associated tool like Gensuite
• Lead compliance audits, join in Governance audits.
• Develop China Permits Inventory and keep updating
Establish China EHS Legal& Standard Register and keep updating
• On-site support on compliance projects and corrective actions frequently
• Work with Global Compliance Expert to reduce the compliance risk in China
• Establish China Region EHS Standard according to GE, LM and Legal requirement
• Focus on and follow up all Non-Routine or routine Inspection by external authorities’ events in China
• Support TOW (transfer of work) and the restructuring process inside GSC fixed facilities,
• Support GSC sites for Capex identification, approval and Execution.
• Support P&L Leaders and GSC Sites EHS Leader to ensure consistency, quality, rigor, on time and efficiencies reporting for Business Consolidation.
Role Summary/Purpose
Develop and implement EHS strategies to support the LM WP operations to world class EHS performance on Global Supply Chains and Services footprint
Owner of compliance process for regional activities.
Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast business impacts.
Develop permitting plan and compliance roadmap for all sites [including new projects] in China, then follow up
Qualifications/Requirements
• 5 year degree from an accredited university or college in Health & Safety, Environment, Science (or equivalent) in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, with at least 3 of which must be in a leadership position, with exposure to several EHS areas in a projects/ manufacturing / services / operations environment
General:
• Initiative and a global mindset
• Excellent PC skills
• Ability to travel 60% of the time

• Strong program management skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Fluent English, French and Danish would be a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities
